When Lisa and Kelly Odish opened Fired Up Pizza & Ethnic Cuisine in November, they were looking for a new adventure in a warmer climate. The Odishs had been running a restaurant by the same name in Michigan since 2010, boasting a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on the website Tripadvisor. But their desire for a change of scenery led them to transplant their winning formula to Southwest Florida.
With bottles of olive oil sitting on the front counter and Italian-American decor spread throughout, the restaurant has a clean and inviting New York pizza joint aesthetic. Fired Up serves a wide selection of wood-fired entrees and fresh handmade pizzas. The menu features everything one would expect like wings, calzones and stromboli, but also less standard pizza shop fare such as gyros, fresh chopped salads and a range of seafood.
