This week The Daily Post-Athenian would like to honor Hoop's Italian Grille with its Local Business Spotlight. Hoop's Italian Grille is owned and operated by Dave Hooper. At Hoop's Italian Grille, Dave is making homemade traditional Italian food, done the old-fashioned way.

He got his start in the restaurant business while living in North Carolina. He worked for a place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina called Mario's Italian Restaurant, where he was taught the family recipes. In 1996, Dave moved to Athens and began working at the Country Patch with Debbie Gunn.
