I struggle with monogamy when it comes to pizza. I tend to fall head-over-heels in love, over and over and over again. I've loved classic New York-style pizzas, the kind best eaten folded in half hunched over a flimsy paper plate. I've loved Sicilian pizzas with their spongy, tomato-soaked crusts. I've loved wood-fired pizzas, coal-fired pizzas, even Chicago pizzas — through thick and cracker thin.
My newest love? Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza. The Miami-born, Italian-rooted restaurant opened its second location in March in a small, central unit of the Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt in North Naples. And I am obsessed.
