A new authentic Italian food restaurant is making a home in Downtown Statesville. Pasta Amore's owner Cesar Mesias plans to bring new flavors to the area. He plans to open Thursday or Friday of this week in the building with the orange trim at 240 W. Broad St. Mesias has been in the service industry for the past 25 years. He started as a dishwasher and worked his way through the business.
Mesias owned his own place in New York called Caesar’s Grill Restaurant for the past eight years - until he decided he was ready for a change. On the lookout for different scenery and warmer weather, Mesias found himself in Statesville in December 2018. Ready to start his next restaurant, Mesias weighed his options with a leasing agent. He picked from areas such as Denver, Mooresville, Cornelius and Statesville.
