On Friday, May 1, Blue Ridge Bistro had its grand opening. The restaurant is located at 829 E. Main Street inside the Eldreth Inn in Jefferson. Blue Ridge Bistro offers Italian-American cuisine and is managed by Wesley Moore and his sous chef, Chad Hopkins.

Moore, a 2012 graduate of Ashe County High School, grew up with strong family influences and Italian traditions; his father is a chef and his mother is Italian and a former restaurant owner. He is excited for this opportunity and recently said, "I have been instilled with a strong love for family.
