A Touch of Brooklyn Pizza is a quaint Italian restaurant and pizzeria in the Taylor Creek Commons plaza at the intersection of U.S. 1 and A1A in Fort Pierce. It has two dining rooms; one offers table service and you order at the front counter in the other before seating yourself. The walls are covered in Italian murals and the lighting is dim.
We snagged an order of garlic knots ($2.95 for six) that were a tasty way to knock off the edge of hunger while viewing the menu. The restaurant has a variety of pies: stuffed with meats or veggies, crisp grandma crusted pies, thin Brooklyn-style with an array of topping choices and specialty pizzas such as steak taco, baked ziti and chicken cordon bleu. Whole wheat dough and gluten-free crusts also are available.
