Italian Grill in the shopping center on the north-east corner of 58th Avenue and 20th Street was one of the first restaurants we visited upon moving to Vero Beach several years ago. Coming from New Jersey, we newbies derived comfort from the familiar taste of tangy tomato sauce found in its southern Italian-style dishes. But there was more to enjoy.
Italian Grill also specializes in dishes from beyond the south of Italy, featuring rich cream sauces, all types of seafood and grilled foods. On our most recent visit, we sampled items from the chicken menu, the fresh pasta menu and the southern-style menu. Braised in Marsala wine and mushrooms, the sweetly sauced medallions of chicken in this chicken Marsala ($13.95) ws served over ribbons of fettucine.
