A trip to Italy may be out of reach for your budget, but you might feel like you've stamped your passport with a trip to the Italian-influenced restaurant Casa de Amici in the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Bossier City. Casa de Amici is one of the 40-plus restaurants participating in 318 Restaurant Week sponsored by Visit Shreveport-Bossier.
KTBS 3 anchor Shannon Brinias had a chance to visit with the casino's director of food and beverage Boris Skosibusic. He described how the restaurant was born of the Covid pandemic. "During COVID, a lot of restaurants were closed around the city and in casinos. Instead of our buffet, we got our Sportsbook bar and grill over here. We decided to utilize this space and make it a small, cozy, warm atmosphere place where people can come hang out," Skosibusic said.
