In the light of the Extraordinary Italian Taste (EIT) campaign, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce has selected 8 restaurants in Houston and 4 in Austin for the Italian Restaurant Week program. EIT is a campaign dedicated to promoting authentic Italian products in North America.

The Italian Restaurant Week will be held during the week of November 14-20, 2016 in Houston and Austin, Texas. The scope of this event is to create a menu containing 2 or 3 dishes. Menus will be created using some of these products: cheese (Grana Padano, Piave, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano) olives (La Bella della Daunia), balsamic vinegar from Modena, and Prosciuto di Parma, rice.

The restaurants will also donate a percentage of the profits to the Earthquake Relief Efforts in Italy.
