A slice of the Big Apple landed on Brookside's plate with the recent opening of the chic Virgola Oysters & Italian Wine Bar. New York City has three Virgola Oysters locations, including the original, and Ormond Beach, Florida, has a franchise store like Tulsa's. That's it.

"People come in here, and it's like being in New York," said Jennifer Ezell Smith, who owns the restaurant with business partner Lori Lynn Nevarez. "We have the same menu and the same decor, including the tufted leather banquettes, as the New York restaurants.
