Italian wine is a treasure chest full of precious gems. What is certain is that while everyone knows diamonds, emeralds and rubies, few appreciate the beauty of topaz, sapphires and aquamarine. Among the many celebrated names that have become famous not only for the absolute quality of the wines but also the rarity of some of the labels belonging to them, there are less known DOC and DOCG bottles that hide true pearls.
These are wines made with local grapes, Italian wines that are almost always underestimated because the media spotlight is increasingly dominated by elitist denominations or international vines.
