Not many people know what Italy is doing in term of environment protection and sustainability. The Italian foundation Symbola and Enel have recently released a piece of research on 100 Italian successful energy stories.

They are small and medium Italian enterprises that have specialized in eco-friendly energy-related activities. Symbola has also stressed the pivotal role Italy plays in Europe in the field of energy efficiency, being in pole position for the production of renewable energy, such as the photovoltaic one. Also Mr Francesco Starace – Enel's CEO – has pointed out the importance of green energy and how it became a goal to achieve for all the companies (small or majestic like Enel) involved in the field.
