Everyone’s idea of a dream vacation differs. The best destination for you will depend on your preferences for activities, scenery and weather, among other things. Maybe you prefer a beach vacation over a visit to a bustling city. One thing everybody loves to do on vacation, though, is eat.
In fact, Airbnb’s recent report on summer travel trends says that this year, almost half of travelers (47%) consider authentic local cuisine to be most important when it comes to travel food experiences. If you’re a traveler who falls into this group, you might even base your trips on cities with the best food scenes. According to the same report, the up-and-coming foodie destination you shouldn’t miss in 2025 is Alassio, Italy.
