An exhibition devoted to a path-breaking change in the history of Ancient Italy opened at the Santa Giulia Museums in Brescia: Rome's gradual occupation of the Po valley, where the ancient Italic peoples dwelt.
The exhibition "Rome and the people of the Po. Meeting of cultures III-I century BC" tells a story that began in 295 BC in Sentino, in the heart of present-day Marche: here, the Roman army and its allies defeated a coalition of Ancient Italian nations led by Samnites and Senonian Gauls.
