It's one of the oldest antiques fairs of Europe and the oldest in Italy. Like for wine, the older it gets the better it becomes. Launched in 1963 and in now its 54th edition, Cortonantiquaria takes place in Cortona from August 20 until September 4 at Palazzo Vagnotti, with around 30 antique dealers participating from all over Italy.
The event is unique in its genre: taking place in the old Etruscan polis, currently one of the trendiest and most fascinating villages of Tuscany, for two consecutive weeks the fair offers one of the most beautiful and suggestive promenades in Italy, among fine furniture pieces, paintings, old rugs, sculptures and collectibles.
