Naples is rich in art: its heritage is invaluable. It hosts pieces unique in the world. We suggest some of our favourite museums that are worth visiting if you are in the city.
1. Museum of Capodimonte: is surrounded by the Wood (Real Bosco). A handbook about the history of art in Italy from the 13th to the 20th century. A journey through the art-works of Titian, Raphael, Botticelli, Bellini, which ends with the Flagellation of Christ by Michelangelo Merisi known as Caravaggio.
2. Museum Filangieri: It welcomes its visitors in a “fairytale” setting. Dedicated to the applied arts: sculpture, painting and conservation of ancient books. Between 3000 works and 30000 volumes: the gallery contains paint-works from the 17th to the 19th centuries.
