The dialect is a cultural wealth of humanity as vehicles of ancient knowledge and for this reason it is important to safeguard them. According to Unesco, there are many languages that will not have a future.
To preserve them an interactive atlas has been created through which you can access different information such as the type, the geographical area and the number of inhabitants Here you can understand what are the Italian dialects. You can also discover the dialects of northern and central-southern Italy that are at risk of extinction. Finally you will discover what are the main causes that led to the occurrence of this phenomenon.
