The most ambitious European initiative in artificial intelligence doesn’t have a flashy English acronym — it’s called Diversibus Viis Plurima Solvo (Latin for “By different paths, I solve many problems”), or simply DVPS. Leading the charge is Translated, an Italian company known for building AI-powered language tools, in partnership with 20 organizations across nine countries.
Backed by €29 million in funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe program, DVPS sets out to develop a new generation of AI systems — ones that don’t just learn from static data like text and images, but interact directly with the real world. The goal? To create AI that sees, hears, and understands its surroundings in real time.
