The triumph of the Italian women's team on this penultimate day was followed by the men's epee team's silver, beaten in the final by France with a score of 45-42. Andrea Santarelli, Davide Di Veroli, Federico Vismara and Gabriele Cimini bring the Italian medal tally to seven.
