
Immigrants have had an enormous economic impact on the labor market. Is there still room for them? And, more importantly, will the "window" of opportunity, GDP growth in Europe, provide jobs for foreign workers as well as Italians?
Let's start with the impact they've had so far: over the last decade, according to the OECD, immigrants have filled 70% of all new jobs created in Europe and 47% in the U.S. Along with the labor market, there are two other components that the OECD considers when responding to the question - asked across Europe - of whether immigration is more of a benefit or a burden.
