Giovanni D'Antonio will be the protagonist of the opening ceremony of Procida Italian Capital of Culture 2022: the young man, just 18 years old, will give a lectio magistralis in front of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella today, the opening day of the long event that this year comes to Procida. Giovanni D'Antonio, just turned 18 and about to start university, lives in San Gennaro Vesuviano in the province of Naples.

His name is particularly well known in academic circles: he is in fact the best student of philosophy in Europe and fourth in the world. Just a year ago, in fact, he won the European Philosophy 2021 Championship, coming fourth at the World Championship. The boy is now "contended" by the major American universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton just to name three) that have offered him a scholarship to study overseas thanks to the Fulbright Program.
