Total production of Gorgonzola PDO reached 2,520,741 wheels in the first half of 2023, an increase of 109,484 wheels (+4.54%) compared to the same period last year and of 37,205 wheels (+1.5%) compared to the first half of 2021.

The export figures are also positive. In the first three months of this year, 6,323 tonnes were exported, growing by 1.15% compared to the same period last year. About 5,454 tonnes went to EU countries, where sales increased by +0.8% compared to the same period last year. The rest went to non-EU countries, where sales increased by an average of +3.1%.
