On Earth Day 2024, a report was released highlighting a shift in the Italian job market, with a growing demand for workers skilled in environmental sustainability. The message is clear: future employment opportunities are tied to the ecological transition, and to be ready, individuals need not only good intentions but also targeted skills.
2024 has proven to be a pivotal year for the spread of "green" skills across Italy's workforce. Businesses are increasingly seeking workers with expertise in environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. These skills are now required in over 4.4 million job positions, representing 80.6% of planned hires for the year, a 1.2% increase from 2023. This growth reflects a structural trend that is likely to continue.
