Il pasticcere italo-americano Buddy Valastro sarà ad Altamura il prossimo 20 maggio. Il Sindaco Giacinto Forte gli consegnerà in aula consiliare una targa in omaggio alle sue origini altamurane.
Bartolo "Buddy" Valastro è un pasticcere e personaggio televisivo italo-americano, noto al pubblico mondiale per il suo programma di successo "Cake Boss" ("Il Boss delle Torte"). I suoi genitori sono entrambi italiani: suo padre, Buddy Valastro Sr, di origini liparesi, e sua madre, Maria Tubito, è nata ad Altamura.
