The results of the research "Agrifood: the Challenge of Digital Sustainability" have been presented. The study analyzed and compared the perceptions and behaviors of four generations of Italians—Generation Z (18-28 years), Millennials (29-44 years), Generation X (45-60 years), and Baby Boomers (61-75 years)—regarding the role of technology as a tool for sustainability, particularly in relation to Agrifood.
For Italian agriculture, 2024 was a record year: Italy ranks first in the EU for added value with €42.4 billion. The agrifood sector reached €586.9 billion in turnover in 2024 and generated added value accounting for 19% of Italy's GDP (+69% in 10 years).
