Italian American Matt Rizzetta buys S.S. Napolibasket

Matt Rizzetta, a 42-year-old Italian-American entrepreneur, is officially the new majority shareholder of Napoli Basket. Rizzetta, through the company Napoli Basketball USA LLC, has acquired 67% of the shares. The current president, Federico Grassi, will retain 33% of the shares but will transition from majority shareholder to minority shareholder and will transfer the presidency to Rizzetta.

The entrepreneur, founder of the North Sixth group, active in the media, marketing, sports, and entertainment sectors, is currently in the city and will attend Napoli's home game against Trento, scheduled for 8:30 PM, before returning to New York, where he resides. Rizzetta has also been the owner of Campobasso (Serie C) since 2022, president of Brooklyn FC – a women's club in the USL Super League – and controls Res Roma VIII, a women's football team playing in Serie B.

Napolibasket srl announces that at the Notary Papi’s office in Rome, the transfer of shares owned by the Amoroso and Tavassi families, represented by the entities Generazione Vincente Academy Srl and Paideia Srl, to the company Napoli Basketball LLC, led by the international consortium based in New York, represented by Matt Rizzetta, an Italian-American entrepreneur and president of Campobasso FC, and Daniel Doyle, a well-known American entrepreneur with Campanian roots, along with partners decorated in various entrepreneurial sectors, including Vincent Beni and Robert Wood, both based in Sarasota, Florida."
