Italy is expected to see continued growth in tourist flows during the upcoming summer season. Between June and September, 65.8 million tourists are expected, generating 267.4 million overnight stays, reflecting a 3.4% increase in arrivals and a 2.1% increase in overnight stays compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded 63.6 million arrivals and almost 262 million overnight stays.
This means that about 2.2 million more tourists will choose to spend their summer in Italy this year, resulting in an additional 5.4 million hotel and non-hotel overnight stays. The estimates also indicate a recovery in the domestic market, with 30.1 million arrivals and 129.5 million overnight stays, showing an upward trend of 5.5% and 4.9%, respectively.
