Jannik Sinner is only 18, but the young tennis star has already drawn comparisons with none other than Roger Federer. His rise up the rankings of the men’s ATP Tour has been nothing short of meteoric. When 2019 began, Sinner was almost unknown in tennis circles.
Things started to change when he gained a victory against top 10 player Gael Monfils at the 2019 European Open. Not just that, he went all the way to the semi-finals, where he lost to Swiss veteran Stan Wawrinka. Sinner then went on to win the ATP Next Gen Finals with a power-packed straights-sets victory over world No. 18 Alex de Minaur.
