The Francesco Bocciardo, gold medalist in the 200 freestyle S5, confirmed his gold in Paris too. Already the reigning Paralympic champion after his success in Tokyo, Bocciardo completed the race at the Défense Arena with a time of 2:25.99, setting a new Paralympic record.
The close of yesterday's program brought another medal to Italy, thanks to Monica Boggioni's bronze in the 200 freestyle S5.
