Italy's boating industry is on the mend and the signals coming from the domestic market are particularly convincing. The turnover of shipbuilding, accessories and engines is expected to grow by 7.5% during the current nautical year (which begins in September and ends in August of the following solar year).
Moreover, Italy is once again the world's first exporter of this sector with a 23.7% market share.
This is the picture that emerges when comparing figures collected by Ucina (the association of boat-builders) , and Fondazione Edison which have decided to put their efforts together to prepare the 2016 issue of the almanac of the boating industry, a long-standing publication on the industry's state of health that will be presented at the Genoa International Boat Show (September 20-25, 2016).
