As of 2021, 58 UNESCO World Heritage Sites have been named in Italy making it the country with the most UNESCO World Heritage sites in the world with China coming closely behind. These historical sites which represent the history and dealings of the Italian people are located throughout the different cities within the country with many dating as far back as the Stone, Bronze, and Iron ages.
