Italy's machine industry is the sector with the greatest growth prospects in global trade, a report by the Ice-Italian Trade Agency and Prometeia research institute showed on Tuesday.

For the machine industry, and the general capital goods sector, there are good prospects in all the macro-areas identified by the report, including nearby mature markets, nearby emerging markets, distant mature markets and distant emerging markets.
