Italy's cultural ministry has announced that the country will spend around $322 million on cultural projects over the next three years, according to the New York Times' Elisabetta Povoledo. 241 projects in total will be supported by the funds, including a restoration of monuments such as Nero's Golden Palace in Rome.

About one million dollars will be devoted to maintaining Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper fresco in Milan. Meanwhile, approximately fifty-seven million dollars has been set aside specifically to improve the security of various museums.
