Italy is accelerating its transition to electric mobility. On one hand, public charging infrastructure continues to expand: by December 31, 2024, there were 64,391 installed points, a 27% increase from the previous year, with a notable 47% growth in fast DC chargers. In the first quarter of 2025, registrations for purely electric cars reached 23,019, a 75.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024. March alone saw 9,373 new electric vehicles on the road, a 77.7% increase from March 2024, bringing the market share for the month to 5.4%, up from 3.2% the previous year.
