Containers boom for La Spezia Port Authority, one of the Ligurian ports, in the first four months of 2015. La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT), the number one terminal operator, has scored a 20% increase in container traffic over the same period of last year.
Between January and April, LSCT has managed more than 390,000 Teus (the base measuring unit for containers, Ed's note), with a double-digit growth. In the month of April LSCT has loaded and unloaded on and off container ships, 106,00o Teus, with a soaring +20.5% on the same month of last year.
