
The Italy-U.S. Cultural Exchange Commission (Fulbright Commission) announced the new contest in Political Science and International Relations, in memory of Amb. Egidio Ortona, which offers graduate students enrolled in Ph.D.s in Italy the opportunity to implement research projects at a U.S. university chosen by the candidates themselves. The exchange period must be during the 2023/2024 academic year, with a duration of 6 continuous months.
The size of the Fulbright grant will depend on whether the winners hold a doctoral fellowship or not ($6,000 with doctoral fellowship, $18,000 without doctoral fellowship). The scholarship also includes a contribution of €1,100 to cover travel expenses Italy -United States (back and forth), medical insurance funded by the U.S. Department of State, and sponsorship of the J-1 entry visa.
