Frascati is the most suitable location for nuclear research. There were at least 9 locations who were candidates to host the cutting-edge research center on the nuclear fusion of ENEA, known as DTT or Divertor Tokamak Test facility but among the many pretenders Frascati was placed in first place in front of Genoa, which was considered one of the most probable.
A great conquests for Lazio and Central Italy also because the plant will bring great benefits in terms of jobs. The approval comes from the Board of Directors of ENEA which gave the green light to the final report with the final classification of the nine candidate sites. On the basis of the technical, economic and environmental requisites required, the highest score was assigned precisely to the site of Frascati (Rome) followed by Cittadella della Ricerca (Brindisi) and Manoppello (Pescara).
