Opening of the new semester of the 1st cycle online Degree Course in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners and Italian citizens resident outside Italy

Registration is open for the new semester of the 1st cycle online Degree Course in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners and Italian citizens resident outside Italy. The online Degree Course is offered by the Inter-University Consortium ICoN - Italian Culture on the Net (www.italicon.it) on behalf of the Universities participating in the Consortium (Universities of Bari, Catania, Genoa, Milan State, Padua, Parma, Pavia, Perugia for Foreigners, Pisa, Rome "La Sapienza", Rome "Tor Vergata", Roma Tre, Salerno, Siena for Foreigners, Turin, Venice Ca ' Foscari, Free University IULM of Milan, the University of Naples "L'Orientale").

The course will begin on September 10 p.v.

Fees: € 900 per semester (tutoring services included) or € 600 per semester (self-guided – self access course)

The Degree corresponds to a Bachelor's Degree with official value, perfectly equivalent to any 1st cycle degree taken at an Italian university. The Degree programme lasts three years and all educational activities, included the study of all teaching materials, mentoring and interaction with other students from around the world, take place through the site www.italicon.it. Students may also take the course entirely as a self-guided self-access course. Tests and final examinations take place at registered offices throughout the world.

Entry requirements:
1) have a good knowledge of the Italian language to be verified through the ICoN language test "Quanto conosci la lingua italiana?" http://www.italicon.it/it/index.asp?codpage=test&bodytext=page00 (after free registration)

2) be living abroad
3) high school diploma that allows admission to University in Italy
4) not to be enrolled in other Italian universities

There is also a number of scholarships available:

- total cover of the enrolment fees for the 1st year

The ICoN Consortium offers 5 annual scholarships to cover the total enrolment fees with tutoring for the first year of the degree course. Scholarships are offered to foreigners and Italians living in the U.S.

ICoN - Italian Culture on the Net - is a consortium composed of nineteen Italian universities operating in agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Consortium was established in 1999 under the patronage of the Chamber of Deputies and with the support of the Italian Prime Minister and the Italian Ministry of University.
