While crowds head to the Amalfi Coast and Ibiza, a quieter kind of luxury is drawing summer travelers north to Lake Como' a place where elegance comes with a deep breath, a boat ride, and a view of the Alps. This summer, the region is seeing a rise in high-end travelers booking private villas for longer, slower stays, reflecting a wider shift in what luxury travel looks like now.
According to a recent announcement, Isle Blue, a global villa company known for upscale vacation rentals, has launched a curated collection of private estates along Lake Como just in time for the 2025 summer season. These properties, some of which date back to the 18th century, offer the kind of quiet, understated luxury that’s becoming increasingly sought-after: lakefront views, private chefs, and plenty of space to unwind without ever setting foot in a hotel lobby.
