Puglia calls to mind tourism, agriculture and food products rather than technology. It would be limiting to think that's all there is to the region, though. It is home to Japan's high-speed trains, Higgs boson detectors, the small rover exploring the planet Mars, and the common rail that's revolutionized diesel engines.
Because in spite of statistics and averages that see the region lag behind in the principal indicators of innovation, it's important to note Puglia also shows peaks of utter excellence : from aerospace to the automotive industry, from transport to logistics, robotics to mechanics.
