The Renaissance, one of the most flourishing periods in the history of Italian art and culture, finds a new dimension thanks to the birth of the Renaissance in Valtiberina and Valdichiana itinerary. This itinerary, which winds its way through the municipalities of Sansepolcro, Castiglion Fiorentino, Citerna and Monterchi, combines the artistic legacy left by the great masters of the past with an enchanting landscape, where art and nature come together in a unique experience.
The project, which is the result of a memorandum of understanding signed between the four municipalities, aims to enhance an area that, although not very large, holds a cultural heritage of extraordinary value. In an itinerary of just 40 kilometers, between Tuscany and Umbria, one can admire the works of Piero della Francesca, Donatello, Bartolomeo della Gatta and other artists who profoundly marked the Italian Renaissance, without neglecting the beauty of the places that host them.
