Roman Holiday, 1953. Before there was Notting Hill (1999), there was Roman Holiday. This timeless love story between princess and pauper is one of the few films in our list to be shot entirely on location. Audrey Hepburn bagged an Oscar for her turn as a European princess who sneaks away from her holders to explore Rome.
