It's amore! The thing about Italian wine and cuisine is united, it’s bliss. The wines and the foods marry so well, it’s amore! Italian wines have a diversity of styles, many, many indigenous grape varieties that are food-friendly and most are a good value. Romantic candle-lit dinners are a happy part of the package with Italian wines.
Italy's 20 wine regions are distinct, diverse and as a result, intricate. All but three of the regions border one sea or another – the Adriatic, Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian. From the top of the boot near the Alps to the toe-dipping into the Mediterranean Sea, every region of the country produces its own wine from grapes that have been growing there for centuries.
