Florence is renowned throughout the world for being the cradle of Italian art. We must, search however, not forget that the Tuscan city has played a prominent role in the history of fashion: especially from 1930 to 1970, its workshops have represented a benchmark in the sector.
A new exhibition running through March 5 at Palazzo Pitti called "Fashion in Florence through the lens of the Locchi Photo Archive" shines a spotlight on this wealth of beauty, quality and creativity, timed to coincide with the 91st edition of Pitti Uomo menswear trade fair.
