Italy's wine tradition is known throughout the world. Each region produces typical wines that are appreciated by the most qualified wine lovers. Among these, there is Campania, an area with an ancient winemaking tradition, suitable for the cultivation of various types of vines. From Irpinia to the Amalfi Coast, from the province of Caserta to the slopes of Vesuvius.
Taurasi
The red wine of Campania par excellence, Taurasi is a DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) typical of the province of Avellino. It is a wine made from 85% Aglianico, a red grape variety widespread in Campania and southern Italy. The first evidence of one of Campania's most typical products dates back to the seventh century BC, when the grape variety was imported from Greece.
