Wonders of Italy: Milan's Duomo

The Cathedral of Milan is Italy’s largest church (without considering St. Peter’s Basilica, but that is located in the Vatican, which, technically, isn’t Italy). 

A trip to the fashion capital wouldn’t be complete without a visit inside this masterpiece of Gothic and Lombard architecture - actually, it should probably be where you begin your exploration of Milan, on the magnificent Piazza Duomo, which was already the central area in Roman Milan, or Mediolanum.
