At the World Pizza Championship in Parma, Italy triumphed among 52 participating countries

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the World Pizza Championship was held April 18-20 at the Palaverdi of Parma Fairs. It was an increasingly international edition, with more than 700 pizza competitors from 52 countries around the world, as well as thousands of visitors, foodies and insiders testifying to a world that is constantly evolving.

During the three days of competitions, pizzaioli and pizzaiole from all over the world competed in more than 1,000 competitions including 930 baking competitions (Classic Pizza, Gluten Free Pizza, Neapolitan Pizza STG, Pizza in Teglia, Pizza in Pala) and skill competitions (such as Freestyle, Widest Pizza and Fastest Pizzaiolo) among which the best pizzaioli of 2023 were decreed.
