With 55 registered entries, and a handful of unregistered, this year's Parade was the largest and most representative of our Italian American community in the modern era. Another Columbus milestone is the second consecutive year with absolutely no protestors. We also had record support from local car dealerships with 13 dignitary vehicles from five separate dealerships.
The Mount Carmel Men's Club took our float contest to a new level with their impressive replica of the Nina. Even the weather was nice, a little chilly in the morning, but by 10am the sun was shining bright. Once again we have many, many, people to thank for our growing Parade, as every single individual who helps and supports our Columbus Day Parade, enhances and strengthens, not only the Parade itself, but our Italian American community as a whole.
