Chris Cuomo, the brother of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, has just signed a multi-year deal to stay on as host of his evening program on NewsNation. Cuomo, who was formerly a correspondent with CNN and ABC News, joined NewsNation’s Nexstar Group in 2022; on Monday it was announced that his contract has been renewed and that he will continue to host “Cuomo” in prime time.
Cuomo commented on the deal saying, “Of course I’m staying. Where else but on NewsNation can you expose the game instead of being forced to play? Let’s get on with it!” Nexstar president Sean Compton himself warmly welcomed the contract renewal, and said, “Chris is a one-of-a-kind talent whose unparalleled analysis and commentary has helped grow NewsNation’s audience and strengthen our brand.”
