
Everything may seem like it's "Made In Italy," especially when you're talking about food products exported to the US . But the reality is that only one out of seven items really originates in Italy and lands in the US as a truly Italian product according to EU laws.
And that's a big difference. It's not by chance that the issues is central to TTIP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. A treaty being negotiated on both sides of the Atlantic on trade and investment that should be in place in 2017 with a new set of rules that could help drive international commerce.
